O My Mind (manasA)! Why (Ela) should there be fear (bhayamu) of yama – wielder (pANi) of sceptre (daNDa) - to those who are dedicated (parulaku) (parulakEla) to chanting of names (bhajana) of Lord SrI rAma?

O My Mind! Why should there be fear of yama to those who are dedicated to chanting of names of Lord SrI rAma –
who assigns (osangu) to brahmA (aja), Siva (rudra), indra – Lord (ISa) of celestials (sura) and others (surESulaku) their respective (AyA) (surESulakAyA) positions (sthAnamu) (sthAnamosangu)?

O My Mind! Why should there be fear of yama -
to those bereft of desires (nishkAmulaku) who,
beholding (jUci), in their heart (hRt) lotus (puNDarIkamuna), the face (mukhamunu) of Lord SrI rAma - wielder (pANi) of bow kOdaNDa – who fills (niNDina) the crores of (kOTlu) universes (aNDa),
melt (karangu) with overflowing (niNDu) love (prEmatO) while performing (salpucu) worship (pUja) (of the Lord), and
to those who are dedicated to chanting of names of Lord SrI rAma as done (sEyu) by this tyAgarAja - the servant (dAsuDaina) of Lord SrI rAma - the protector (pAlu) of blessed (vara) gajEndra – the elephant (vEdaNDa)?
